I have called this dish “burnt meat” since I was a child because, well, that’s how it looks but it’s delicious and easy to make.
Pour dressing in a bowl and set aside. Season the flour with the salt, pepper, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Heat a large skillet or electric skillet to 350ºF.
Dredge meat in the dressing, then the flour, then the dressing, and back in the flour. Place in a hot skillet with oil and cook until golden brown (it may appear more black because of the dressing, hence the reason I call it “burnt meat”) and turn. Cook the other side until cooked through.
Enjoy with a helping of mac and cheese!
