Description

Tired of eating canned dog food, i mean chili? This is an easy to make, amazing homemade chili with no beans or “crunchy things.” Great for picky kids and easy to freeze for future meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Large Onion, Peeled
  • 1 whole Green Bell Pepper
  • 12 stalks Celery (one Bundle)
  • 2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 10 ounces, weight Can Of Original Rotel
  • 14-½ ounces, weight Can Of Diced Tomatoes
  • 29 ounces, weight Can Of Tomato Sauce
  • Salt And Pepper
  • Tony Chachere's (Seasoned Salt)
  • 3 ounces, weight McCormick Chili Powder

Preparation

Puree the onion, bell pepper, and celery to a liquid-y mush.

In a pot, cook the puree and ground meat together, mixing continuously while the meat cooks. When the meat is thoroughly cooked, add in the Rotel and diced tomatoes. Add the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper, Tony’s/season salt to taste. At this point it will pretty much be like spaghetti and meat sauce.

Add the McCormick chili powder. (I have used other brands, and I find this is the one with the flavor i love the most!) You may need to add more salt, as the chili tends to leave a bitter taste. Season to taste and enjoy!
