I love the flavor and tenderness of searing steaks in an iron skillet. Just perfect for cold winter days when grilling outside is not an option. I actually just sprinkled and did not measure any of the spices, so the quantities are estimates. Very good with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
Wash and pat dry the ribeye steaks. Chop and press the garlic in sea salt. Rub each steak with Worcestershire, oregano, pepper and pressed garlic. In a iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Sear the steaks for about 5 – 6 minutes per side until medium rare. Place on a serving plate and let rest for a couple minutes while your mouth waters in anticipation.

Ooooh, that looks so good! I love the idea of pressing together the garlic and sea salt first, and then rubbing it into the steak. I might just have to make a run to the store.
