This is a modified version of my grandmother’s cowboy cookie recipe.
1) Preheat oven to 350F.
2) Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
3) Add eggs and Amaretto*.
4) Incorporate flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
5) Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and pecans.
6) Drop by the spoonful on a greased baking sheet.
7) Bake for 12 minutes (I like my cookies underdone.)
*I typically have Amaretto on hand, but any liquor will do.
