Pumpkin is everywhere this time of year, as we all can’t help but notice. I tend to get a little bit overloaded with pumpkin recipes before I’ve even had a chance to make very many. I’m always looking for fresh, new things to do with pumpkin, and this Pumpkin Tiramisu from TK member Tina of Dessert for Two stopped me in my tracks.
Put a plate of treats in front of me and see which one I go to first. Odds are it’s going to be the coconut treat. The more coconut the better, I say! And because of my coconut infatuation, Jen and Emily’s recipe for Bakery-Style Coconut Macaroons spoke to me and begged to be made. They are, quite simply, divine.
These chocolatey bites were just the thing to curb my brownie cravings without completely falling off the healthy wagon. They’re naturally sweetened, grain-free, and dairy-free. Can’t get much better than that.
Plus, they have a rich, dark, chocolate flavor. I like my chocolate (and my brownies) dark.
Let’s get started!
Is it weird that I get excited at the thought of this focaccia (please say it isn’t)? This Roasted Garlic and Olive Focaccia, brought to us by Sommer, is one that I’ll definitely be making again.
The beautifully light crumb is surrounded by a rich, almost buttery olive oil-soaked crust. And the tartness added by the Kalamata olives is brilliant. The roasted garlic is by no means overwhelming—it simply imparts a mellow hint of the flavor.
You can’t beat a classic, and by the looks of it, Buttermilk Pies are a big deal here on Tasty Kitchen! There are so many variations of this Southern classic and it was hard to choose where to begin. Cassie had a very well-loved recipe that has received some pretty stellar reviews.
I love a good food fad. I remember the first time I heard the word “cronut” and I was utterly confused! But I was also equally intrigued. How could a mash up of croissant and doughnut possibly be a bad thing? When I saw Chris Castro’s recipe for Buttermilk-Vanilla Glazed Croissant Donuts, I knew that the “cronut” bandwagon was one I had to hop on!
