This Blueberry-Pomegranate Granita from our dear friend Natalie (she of the wonderful Perrys’ Plate blog) has a fresh and tart flavor that’s perfect at the end of a hearty meal. Or as a quick, guilt-free snack. And look at that color!
You only need 5 or 6 ingredients, a blender, and a container in the freezer to make this refreshing granita. You can even change up the fruits and juice to create your own flavors.

I know it’s probably still cold in many places but I desperately want the warm weather to be here already. Maybe if we start talking frozen treats, spring weather will come sooner. So tell us, do you have any favorite flavors for granita or slushies or sorbets or anything else frozen except what’s on the ground that refuses to go away?
(I hear overstaying winters can make some people cranky. Not that I’d know anything about it.)

I love granita! Here in Tuscany is really warm already, saturday we had 25°C which is about 80°F so I had this delicious granita that they call “cremolata” I think beacuse they add a little milk to make it more creamy. I choose almond as a flavor, it was delicious but of course this one is more colorful! Happy spring to everyone! Ciao. Sabrina.

I’ve been grilling in snow storms… but finally today it was warm… I rolled down the windows while I drove the car! I love mango or lemon. But I wouldn’t say no to Natalie’s Blueberry Pomegranate Granita. It looks SO yummy.

I found myself singing the tomorrow song from Annie today – if we don’t get some sunshine around here soon someone is going to get hurt, not that I know anything about cranky either. This looks lovely; I think I’ll crank the furnace, make some and pretend it’s not cold and endlessly dreary outside.

Thank goodness it is 70 degrees here today. I would totally make this with all the fresh citrus that is in season now. Grapefruit would finish my meal perfectly!
