Description

Garbage is kinda like taco salad – but don’t tell my husband I said that.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Cooked And Finely Diced
  • 1 can (15 Oz. Size) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder (less Or More To Taste)
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups Grated Cheese
  • 1 head Lettuce
  • 1 whole Tomato, Diced
  • ½ whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips, Any Flavor, 12 Ounce Bag (we Like Doritos Nacho Cheese)
  • Optional Garnishes: Diced Avocado, Sliced Olives, Diced Cucumber, Sour Cream, Ranch Dressing

Preparation

1. Over medium heat, brown your chicken breasts for 5-6 minutes per side. They are done when the juices run clear, and the time may vary based on the size of the breasts. When they are done, finely dice chicken breasts. (You can substitute 1 pound of ground beef for the chicken breasts is preferred).

2. Return chosen meat to the skillet and add drained, rinsed black beans, chili powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat until everything is heated through.

3. Combine your desired vegetables on a serving plate. Top with meat/bean mixture, cheese, and crushed chips.

4. Top with preferred salad dressing (like ranch) or salsa and sour cream.
