This recipe is delicious. I made it the other night for dinner and my husband had 3 helpings and brought some leftovers to work the next day. One of the guys at his work tried it and LOVED it also! He has since asked my husband for the recipe so his wife can make it! This one is a keeper for sure!

I have wanted to try making chicken and dumplings for a looong time. I put your recipe in my box a while back, and your being a featured TK member reminded me of it. I made it the other night and wow! This was such a delicious dinner! I loved, loved, LOVED the cornmeal in the dumplings! I have never had them with that before and it added such a great flavor and texture! Everyone in my family (all nine of us) just inhaled it! Thank you so much for the recipe that I will now add to my favorite dinner pile!

This was the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had. The texture was excellent and it was easy. I didn’t have any celery so I used mushrooms instead and it was delish. Next time I’ll use more solids (carrots, mushrooms, celery, chicken) and maybe top with some crumbled bacon. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I just finished making this! So easy and absolutely fabulous! I have made Chicken and Dumplings loads of times, but this is the best. I made only slight modifications – I did not use the tumeric (I don’t like tumeric), I used 5 chicken leg quarters, and I used 2% milk instead of heavy cream. I used just enough milk to come to the same consistency as the photo on the blog.
This will become part of our regular routine! Thank you!

LOVED this recipe! The cornmeal was a wonderful addition. I didn’t have fresh thyme, so I subbed 1/2 tsp dried thyme and it worked just fine. I think next time I will add more carrots bc we enjoy veggies. Otherwise, I wouldn’t change a thing. Super yummy!

AMAZING! By far the best chicken & dumpling recipe that I’ve tried. Even my husband (who isn’t a chicken & dumpling fan) loved it. I used chicken breasts and omitted the celery. Next time, I think I will try to use regular milk instead of the heavy cream. Will definitely be making this one again.

I made this for myself when I was sick a while ago because it was the only kind of thing I could imagine trying to ingest. It was so simple to make and had a rich chicken flavor. There is something magical when it comes to recipes such as this when it comes to making you get better. I will definately make this again sick or not.

Yum! The snow is coming down and I’m thinking this will be the perfect dinner tonight! I haven’t made chicken and dumplings in a long while!
I’m using chicken breasts and milk instead of heavy cream because I don’t want to venture out in the snow and that is what I have at home.

So, so good. I was out of turmeric and added some butter to the pan while I sauteed the vegetables, but other than that followed your recipe. It was fantastic & much better than the dumpling recipes I’ve used before that use milk instead of chicken broth for the soup. Perfect snowy day dinner.

I made a vegetarian version of this last night and it was wonderful! My husband LOVES dumplings, but I never make them, so he was pleasantly surprised. He love it as well. I didn’t have any celery, so I just cubed up some celeriac (celery root) and it was wonderful. I also substituted some corn flour for the regular flour just to give it an extra sweetness and layer of flavor. It really was wonderful.
Thanks doll,
