This was my first experience with tres leches cake and I’m now a convert. The flavor is out of the world and the cake just melts in your mouth! For anyone scared that it would be too soggy, don’t be! Ree is right. You have to make it to believe it. It’s awesome!

Very easy to make, and so amazingly good. I beat up my egg whites first, and then moved on to the yolks and sugar, so that I wouldn’t have to wash the beaters in between. The extra 1 cup of milk at the end will be a nice addition to my coffee cup tomorrow. Excellent recipe. My kids inhaled it.

This recipe is incredible and worth the extra time. Everyone that’s tried it raves!

I am a huge fan of Tres Leches Cake, so of course I had to try PW version. it did not disappoint! The cake is supposed to be very moist and cold. This was a huge hit at a recent fiesta-themed get-together. I should have made more than one.
FYI- I skip the cherries. Not needed.

Made this a couple of weeks ago and it was beyond delicious! Keeps really well in the fridge as well, got better and more moist in fact!

Man do I love this cake! I think it was best fresh–after refrigeration it didn’t seem as appealing for some reason. But it is incredible. I also skip the cherries.

This cake came out incredible! Tender, flavorful, delicious and moist! Just be careful with the milk mixture because I poured all of it over and made it a little to mushy (totally my mistake). The cake itself is so moist that it really only needs a portion of the milk mix!

This cake was without a doubt delicious. However, it was not as sweet as sweet as the traditional cake itself. I will try this recipe again but adjust the amount of sugar in the cake mix.

This cake was wonderful. Next time I think I’ll use a metal pan and not glass casserole. I used sliced strawberries instead of cherries. This was just like I had in Mexico. Yum.

Great recipe. The next time I will make it a day in advance. The cake was much better after letting it set in the frige for several hours.

This is a new hit with my friends and family. Easy and fun to make. I USED ALL THE MILK MIXTURE. The cake did a fine job of absorbing the entire milk mixture. It didn’t get soggy and was deelish! I added 1.5 tsp of vanilla to the whipping cream “frosting”. I wanted some additional flavoring to the top layer. I smiled inside and out when seeing each piece with a lovely cherry on top!

My family loves this recipe. It’s my favorite cake. Ree’s chocolate sheet cake is a close second!

Oh Ree…I almost can’t form words to describe the deliciousness of this cake. What a hit at my Christmas Eve Eve dinner for my family! Everyone loved it and it turned out totally moist but not overly soggy. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe.

My sister made this for Christmas Eve and it was out of this world good!!! I can’t wait to make it myself.

I made this for the first time yesterday and it was delicious… actually, delicious doesn’t even begin to describe it! I have already bought the ingredients to make another. Super yummy!

Oh lordy, was this cake ever good! Looks like it’s already been said that this cake is delicious but it never hurts to have more positive feedback. I was looking for a relatively easy dessert to make for a dinner party I was hosting and this fit the bill perfectly. It looked and tasted much more complicated than it actually was to make, which is always a plus when trying to impress friends.

My family LOVES this cake!!!! I lived in Puerto Rico when I was little and had tasted this yummy cake many times. I’ve tried other versions before with no success but this one is a keeper! I can see this recipe handed down from generation to generation. I first made it on Christmas Eve for our annual “Happy Birthday Baby Jesus” cake and it was a hit with even the pickiest palates. I’m making it again as I type this for my mom’s birthday party tomorrow. That is all she wanted, the PW’s Tres Leches Cake! I’m happy to oblige. This is THE BEST CAKE ever!!!! Try it – you will not be disappointed

Love this recipe!
Have made several TL cakes recently with this recipe and they all came out great.
The cake has a good texture and soaks up the sweet cream well. Just watch out that you don’t over-do it while pouring it on. Must say that Ree was right and reserve that last cup or you can end up soggy.
You can guess that I overdid it on one! Still tasted great but was too moist.
