These were absolutely delicious! I can’t imagine someone could ever dislike them. I did not have milk, so I used some of a bottle of vanilla Frappacino instead. Worked out great! I will definitely make this recipe again.

My husband didn’t like them, and I loved them. Go figure. I do think they need vanilla added to the batter. I would like to try them using maple sugar in both the cookie and the glaze. It seemed to me that the maple flavor didn’t really come through as strong as I’d hoped. Otherwise, I thought the texture was wonderful, and the spice blend just right.

These are wonderful. The only trouble I had was with the maple glaze. I used real maple syrup in it, which was fantastic. The problem I had was I added to much liquid in the form of almond milk and the glaze was really runny. Completely my fault for second guessing myself.

Just made these this morning for the first time! Took a chance and doubled the recipe! I did add a teaspoon of vanilla to the doubled recipe – and added chopped pecans. I did skimp on the maple flavoring in the glaze. BOTTOM LINE: They were very good. I thought perhaps the amount of liquid (milk) might be too much but it wasn’t. When I put them on the parchment paper, I didn’t flatten them at all – just left them as they come off the spoon. When they baked, they were a very nice shape. I made the glaze the consistency so that I just spread it over the cookie with a knife. It’s a cool day in Kansas this morning, so they will taste especially good, I think. Plan to share with neighbors. Thank you for the recipe.

I was sooo sooo surprised to see this recipe! My Mom made these a lot and topped them with the maple glaze and chopped walnuts. She called them Apple Chip cookies. Thanks for posting them and bringing back the memories!

Love the recipe – I’m a nut so, of course, I would have to add walnuts! I love MAPLE anything and the glaze is perfect for these cookies. I’m tired of cookies with chocolate – that’s a lie – but the apple cookies are a lovely change of pace. I’m thinking the apple cookies w/o nuts would be delish with a scoop or two of Maple Nut Ice Cream!
