Description

This was my Grandmother’s cookie recipe, they are so simple and delicious. They are a perfect coffee dessert! Dunk them into your coffee just like you would Biscotti. I get a different number of cookies each time depending on how long I cut them, but on average, it’s around 24.

Ingredients

  • ¼ pounds Plus 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1-¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 4 Tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 cups Flour, Plus 1 Extra Cup For Rolling

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

This recipe requires almost another cup of flour to make it the right consistency pliable to roll.

Mix all ingredients (minus the flour reserved for rolling) into a dough. Split the dough into quarters. Roll out each quarter like a rope and cut into 4-inch strips. Place on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes, until just golden.
