Description

Darling little treats for Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (18 To 21 Oz. Box) Brownie Mix
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, At Room Temperature
  • 20 ounces, weight Chocolate Candy Coating Or Chocolate Melting Wafers

Preparation

Make brownies according to package directions (you’ll typically need water, eggs, and oil, combine ingredients and bake as directed on mix package). Let cool completely. Cut off any hard edges of the cooled brownies and either discard or save for later to eat.

Crumble remaining soft brownies into a large bowl. Stir in cream cheese until combined; there should be no large chunks of cream cheese anywhere, mostly uniform in color.

Using a 1-inch heart shaped cookie cutter, press brownies into heart shapes. Continue this process until all hearts are formed. Place in the refrigerator until ready to coat in chocolate.

Over a double boiler or in the microwave, melt candy coating or chocolate. Place one heart-shaped brownie into the chocolate and spoon more chocolate over the top to coat completely. Remove with a fork, tapping off any excess. Place on wax paper or a cooling rack to drip. Top with sprinkles, nuts or any other desired toppings. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
