Description

Chocolate chip cookies the size of a plate … have you had your cookie today?

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Self-Rising Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ⅓ teaspoons Salt
  • 12 Tablespoons Butter, Somewhat Melted
  • 1 whole Vanilla Bean, Scraped Or 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • ½ cups Dark Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • 2 cups Mixed Chocolate Chips
  • 1 dash Sea Salt, To Top Unbaked Cookies

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment.

In a small bowl, combine flours, baking soda, and salt.

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and vanilla with sugars until fluffy. Add eggs until combined. Add dry ingredients on low speed, mixing only until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Scoop out the dough with your fingers, making sure that the tops of the cookies are jagged. Leave about 3 inches between cookies. Sprinkle tops with a little bit of sea salt. I got 6 cookies per large tray.

Bake for about 20 minutes, rotating pan after 10 minutes. Remove at 20 minutes and leave on the pan to cool. Enjoy!

I made these cookies yesterday and they were fantastic. One of the best I have tried in my search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie!
