Description

This stuff is addictive and only has a light egg nog flavor, so even the pickiest eaters will love this!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Prepared Egg Nog (I Used The Light Version)
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding (5.1 Oz. Size)
  • 4 ounces, weight Cool Whip
  • ¼ cups Gingersnap Cookies, Crumbled (optional, For Garnish)

Preparation

Mix egg nog and milk together into a large bowl. Whisk in vanilla pudding until well incorporated and continue to mix for 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside to thicken. Fold in Cool Whip and refrigerate until ready to serve. Pipe or spoon mousse into small bowls or glasses and top with crumbled gingersnap cookies, if desired.

The flavor was amazing, but I found it to be very thick and heavy. Several people said they would absolutely love it if it was lightened a bit (both in sweetness and consistency), so I think I will try making it again with more milk or cool whip. Definitely worth experimenting with though!

I made this yesterday when a few friends came by. Love that you can whip this up in a few minutes and only need to refrigerate for a little bit. It was a bit too sweet for me, so I might double the cool whip and a friend suggested to add a splash of brandy or cognac. Will definitely make again soon.
