Description

One of my all time favorite cookies, they bring smiles!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar Mixed With 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (in A Separate Bowl)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF. In a mixer bowl, add cream cheese and butter and beat with an electric mixer until well combined. Beat in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour and baking soda mixing until all combined. Scoop into 1 1/2-inch balls and roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on a greased or line baking sheet and press gently with tines of a fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool.

These sound yummy. One of my sons favorite cookies. I cant wait to bake them for him.

I’m generally not a “purist” but these really didn’t taste like snickerdoodles to me. They were perfectly good cookies, but I missed the original snickerdoodle taste.

Snickerdoodle is my favorite cookie, and the “traditional” recipe never turns out right for me. I tried these and they are perfect! The cream cheese makes all the difference!
In between batches, I put the dough in the fridge and it was easier to roll into balls.
Thanks for a great alternative to a simply excellent cookie!
