Description

Decadent and delicious, this ice cream will hit the spot on hot summer days!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • ¼ cups Cocoa Powder (good Quality)
  • 1-¼ cup Dry Brownie Mix

Preparation

A few hours in advance, place the ice cream maker bowl and paddle into the freezer to completely freeze.

In a large bowl or measuring cup, stir all ingredients together until combined. I used a whisk to ensure everything was thoroughly combined. Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Place the frozen ice cream bowl and paddle onto the machine and cover with the clear lid. Turn the machine on and pour the ice cream base through the top of the machine into the moving bowl.

Churn 15-20 minutes until frozen and smooth. Eat as is or scoop into a large tupperware container, cover and freeze.

Store in the freezer until ready to serve.

Followed the recipe exactly and it was really good. Can’t wait to try it tomorrow after it’s had time to ripen. I think this mixture would made a great base for a Rocky Road ice cream. Maybe next time I’ll add mini marshmallows and roasted almonds.

Tasted good, make sure you use brownie mix you like because that is what it will taste like. I only used half the sugar and that was enough :)

Awesome recipe, thanks so much for sharing. I made this last night for company. Served it on a baked brownie with whipping cream and chocolate sprinkles ~ yummers. Everyone love this icecream, it has such a perfect creamy texture. Highly recommend.

I used my own brownie mix and tasted it before it was done, and it was so good. It actually took me longer to freeze it than normal because it was pretty thick. I haven’t been able to keep my spoon out of the container.

I tasted this just before my ice cream machine was done making it. I thought it tasted like a basic chocolate ice cream. I deceided to add 1/4 cup of dark hershey’s cocoa powder and then that get mixed in and incorporated. After that it tasted incredible! It truly tasted like brownie batter. Mmmmmm
