Description

Amazingly moist, delicious cake. You won’t be able to keep your hands out of it!

Ingredients

  • ⅝ cups Slivered Almonds
  • ¼ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • ⅝ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ¾ teaspoons Almond Extract
  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 cups Bananas (3-4 Bananas)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Vanilla Or White Chips

Preparation

1. In a small bowl, combine almonds and brown sugar; set aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the almond extract.

3. Combine flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add this to the creamed mixture alternately with bananas and sour cream. Fold in the vanilla or white chips.

4. Spread into a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with reserved almond and brown sugar mixture.

5. Bake at 350ºF for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Oh good idea! I’ve never tried that. How many muffins did you get out of it?
