Description

Chewy chocolate brownies with a surprise of cherry!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BROWNIES:
  • 1 package (18.25 Oz Size) Devlis Food Cake Mix
  • 1 can (21 Oz. Size) Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 Tablespoon Almond Extract
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 8 Tablespoons Butter
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1-¼ cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1. Grease and flour a 15″ x 10″ jelly roll pan. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. In a large bowl mix cake mix, cherry pie filling, almond and extract and eggs together. Pour into pan and smooth the top.
3. Bake at 350 F for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into middle of brownies comes out clean
4. In a saucepan over medium heat combine sugar, butter and milk. Once it hits a boil, cook for 1 minute then remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted. Spread on top of the warm bars.

What?!! These were so amazing. The sweet sweet frosting sent these over the edge and I loved the almond extract. Delicious recipe!
