If I could give you a 10 on this caramel sauce I would!
I was a bit apprehensive with the honey, but it turned this sauce from good to excellent! Good Job and Thank You for sharing!!

This was SUPER easy, and totally yummy! I filled 3 jelly jars, with just a few scrapes left over in the pan. Worked out perfectly! I used dark brown sugar, and it looks like the color of the caramel in the photo. Thanks for the great recipe!! I may never go back to sugar-only caramel sauce!

This was so yummy. I added a tiny bit of sea salt to enhance the flavor and it was awesome. Thanks!

Very easy and very satisfying. I put what we didn’t immediately devour in an empty Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino bottle when no one was looking. It took them two days to figure out that’s where I had put it. =)

So good and so easy. So far I’ve served it with the apple-cranberry crisp I made yesterday. I cannot wait to try it with ice cream and fruit.

Looks amazing! How many jars did this recipe yield?
Sally Darling on 12.18.2010
Hi Rachel Mom – Gosh, you know that’s terrible, I’ve never measured it, but I would say it comes out to a total of about 3 cups. Thanks for asking, and I hope you enjoy!

This is delicious!
It filled 3 6-oz mason jars for me, with a little left for chef snacking.
I have a questions for you- did you use dark brown sugar? I used light brown and mine appears to be a lot lighter than the one you put in the picture.
Don’t get me wrong, still super tasty, but I’m wondering if it would be even more delicious if I had used a different sugar.

Hi Squishyishy – (Love your name). Thanks for letting me know how much it exactly makes in the mason jars. You know, I almost didn’t post that photo, and I should have adjusted the color becuase it IS decieving. It IS lighter than the photo, much lighter actually. So you did everything right. I use light brown sugar also! I’m soooo glad you liked it, and thanks so much for yoru comment!

I went ahead and made this with light corn syrup in place of the honey. It was really good. We had it over some custard from a local ice cream place….very good!
