Description

Very filling and delicious! For the biscuits I used Grands Jr. butter-tasting biscuits. There were 10 biscuits in a pack and they all fit! This is a keeper for sure!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Pork Breakfast Sausage
  • 1 cup Italian 5 Cheese Blend, Shredded
  • 8 ounces, weight Velveeta Cheese, Cubed
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • ¾ cups Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 10 ounces, weight Grands Jr. Butter-Tasting Biscuits

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray an 11×8 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until sausage is browned and crumbly, 5-7 minutes. Drain well.

Sprinkle sausage and cheeses into prepared dish.

In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, thyme, garlic salt and pepper. Pour over sausage mixture.

Arrange biscuits evenly over top. Bake for 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 15 minutes longer. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.

Oh my goodness is this ever delicious! We’ve made it quite a few times now. Sometimes we have it for brunch but tonight we’re having it for dinner. It’s so filling and so rich and delicious! I can’t always get the package of 10 biscuits, so sometimes I have to get a package of 8 and then we bake the extra two biscuits on the side. This is definitely a favorite in our house!
