  • 1 whole Large Green Apple With Skin, Cored And Thinly Sliced

Wait, is the lemonade supposed to be fizzy? I just bought everything except the lemonade and liquer to make this. I’ve never made sangria before.

Made this for my book club friends on Thursday. Made it on Wednesday night, it was good on Thursday evening but was FANTASTIC on Friday evening. I highly recommend making it a few days ahead. Couldn’t find any Cointreau in our small town so had to settle for Triple Sec.

The second batch was made with a sweet (think reisling) white wine & was great–think I’ll do that again next time. Some orange slices would probably be good in there too!

jujubee, though i didn’t submit this recipe, i think it generally holds true that sangria is always BEST made the night before the party. just combine everything except the lemonade (or whatever you’re using to add a bit of fizz) in a pitcher and store in fridge overnight, covered up. just before serving add lemonade and voila!

This was delicious, made it when my family was in town visiting – my Mom was sure 1 bottle would be plenty. Three bottles of sangria later, I was thinking I should have bought a few more. I’ve tried a few different fruity liqueur’s now.. all good!

I made this for my birthday party and it was a huge success. Doubled it from the beginning and wished I’d made another batch it went so fast!

This is a great sangria recipe and so easy to make! I have to play around with different kinds of wines to see which one I like better.
