Perfect for your next cookie exchange!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, beat the butter on high for about 30 seconds. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, and beat until well-combined.
Beat in the vanilla, cardamom, orange zest, and flour. The mixture will be crumbly. Stir in the cranberries.
Shape into 1″ balls and then roll in sprinkles. Bake 1″ apart on the cookie sheet for about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest one minute; then remove to a wire rack to cool. Makes a dozen cookies. Can easily be doubled or tripled!

I just made these and they came out great! So rich and buttery. Love the orange cranberry flavor in this type of cookie. Thank you!

I really wanted to love this recipe. It just didn’t work for me. I’m a drop cookie kind of girl – totally low maintenance cookies are my thing. And the dough was so crumbly that it took some time to shape the dough into balls and cover with the sprinkles.
They were super tasty, though. Just a bit too time consuming for me.

Excellent cookie- very light and delicious! I got alot more than a dozen per recipe out of it, and I did the 1 inch balls, I think but that’s a plus, anyways.
I cheated a little, didn’t realize I didn’t have a cookie sheet and didn’t see the need for parchment paper until it was too late but using a cake pan, Pam for baking and about 5 additional minutes cooking time, they still came out great. The only issue I had was that I put the excess dough into the fridge between batches, and I had to leave them out to warm to room temperature to get the sprinkles to stick. Great treat, going to package them up and give them away as holiday treat gifts!
