Sweet potatoes, oats, walnuts and California dried plums unite for a chewy, satisfying snacking experience.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly until a large ball of sticky granola goodness is formed. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Press granola onto the parchment paper with damp hands until it is 1/2 inch thick throughout. Bake for 25 minutes. Cut into 12 even bars shortly after removing from the oven. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Something has to make it sticky and the name of the recipe is “Maple Dried Plum Granola Bars” so it must include maple syrup as the previous review states.

Anxious to try these. I saw that your blog post also has 2 1/2 T. maple syrup in the ingredient list. Did you find it was not necessary or it is a misprint?
