Description

These wings are sticky and sweet and hot and perfect. And quick! And gluten-free!

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • ¾ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce (gluten-free)
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili-garlic Paste (or Hot Sauce Of Your Choice)
  • 1 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 pounds Chicken Wings
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • Chopped Scallions For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 425F.

Crush and roughly chop the garlic and stir together in a bowl with the salt, honey, soy sauce, chili-garlic paste, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Add the wings and toss to coat.

Spread out the wings on a cookie sheet and pour the rest of the sauce over. Bake 35-40 minutes, turning once.

Remove the wings to a bowl, pouring the remaining sauce into a small saucepan and heat to a simmer.

Stir the cornstarch into a little bit of water (about 2 T) until dissolved, then stir into the sauce. Cook 2 minutes until thickened a bit, then pour over the wings.

Sprinkle in scallions, toss to coat, and serve.

I didn’t have any sauce left after baking to make a thickened sauce as described in the recipe. I will double it up next time. Thanks for sharing!
