A great soup which uses your leftover holiday turkey. We serve it the Saturday after Thanksgiving for when we get home from the local Christmas parade.
In your crock pot, throw in turkey, mushrooms, broth, water and pepper. Cook on low for about 4 hours.
At the 4 hour mark, add box of rice and the seasoning packet that comes with it. In a glass measuring cup, pour in half and half. With a fork, whisk in flour so there are no lumps. Dump this mixture into the crock pot.
Continue to cook on low another 3 hours or until rice is done. Serve with leftover holiday rolls or crusty bread of your choice.
