This taco soup recipe has no beans, mainly because my husband can’t stand beans!! We love to crush tortilla chips on the bottom of the bowl. Add the soup, then top with sour cream and shredded cheese.
In large Dutch oven over medium heat, brown hamburger meat and chopped onion until no pink remains. Drain any fat and return to stove. Add remaining ingredients except for the optional items. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours to deepen the flavors. Serve with crushed chips, sour cream and cheese if desired.
