A quick and easy recipe for a busy family.
For the chili, over medium heat brown the meat and season with the chili powder, creole seasoning and cumin. Don’t forget salt and pepper. When the meat is almost browned, add the black beans to the meat mixture. The tomatoes go in next and the tomato sauce follows.
Turn down the heat and allow to simmer gently for about 30 minutes. Serve the chili with the toppings.

On the stove now! Substituted chipotles in adobo for the creole seasoning. Smells wonderful! Next time, I’ll use a little less chili powder, though. It’s a little spicy for me.
