An easy cream of tomato soup that uses a high quality canned soup base and added fresh ingredients.
Use a 2 quart sauce pan.
1. Heat pan over low to medium heat.
2. Add the garlic and fresh tomatoes, cooking until the garlic is fragrant.
3. Add in the tomato soup concentrate, stirring to combine. Turn the heat down to low.
4. Drizzle in the half and half, making sure the soup does not boil!! Salt and pepper to taste.
5. Let the soup heat on low for 15 minutes or until the fresh tomato is soft and has taken on the sweetness of the soup base.
I like to serve this with grilled cheese sandwiches! Any leftovers you have will freeze beautifully for another meal.
