Grandma’s No Frills Potato Soup
Description
My grandmother served this on Christmas Eve as the family members piled into the house. The best comfort food, easy to serve, and easy to fix.
Ingredients
- 6 whole Potatoes
- 1 whole Onion, Sliced
- 1 stick Butter
- 1-½ cup Milk
- Salt And Pepper, To Taste
Preparation
Combine peeled and cubed potatoes with sliced onion. Add water to cover and boil.
When potatoes are done mash with a potato masher. Add salt to taste. Add butter and milk. Simmer till done.
Note: When I want a creamier soup or to use less butter I puree half of the soup in a blender.
