This soup is creamily decadent. If you have a largish family you may want to double or even triple it.
1. Heat a medium sized pot coated with the butter over med.-hi heat. Add the onion and the garlic, and saute until tender, about 3 minutes. Add broth and and broccoli, bring to a boil over med.-hi heat. Reduce the heat to medium, and cook 10 minutes.
2. Combine the milk and flour, stirring with a whisk until well blended. Add the milk mixture to the broccoli mixture and cook five minutes or until slightly thick, stirring constantly. Stir in cheese until melted.
3. Place 1/3 of the soup in a blender or food processor and process until smooth. Return pureed soup mixture to pan.

This was delicious and easy. I used fresh broccoli and velveeeta cheese and it turned out great!

This was delicious. I used it with fresh broccoli from our garden and doubled the recipe. Easy and a huge hit!
