Description

This simple-to-make dessert is delicious and fun for the kids to help out with. You can’t go wrong with marshmallows and chocolate!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • 12 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 bag Mini Colored Marshmallows

Preparation

Melt butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat. Let cool a little. Put marshmallows in a big bowl and pour chocolate/butter mixture over the marshmallows and stir. Lay two sheets of waxed paper on the counter. Form the marshmallow mixture into two logs and lay them on the waxed paper and wrap tightly. Secure the waxed paper with tape. Refrigerate for 2 hours before slicing. Keep refrigerated.

You can add 1 cup of chopped walnuts, but I don’t put nuts in my desserts, so I don’t. Also, I use disposable gloves when forming the marshmallow/chocolate mixture into the logs so my hands don’t get messy. Works great!

I used to make these all the time for Christmas! Great to run across them again – they are addictive!

We have made these for years and they are a holiday favorite. They don’t always look pretty- esp. in log form but they taste oh so good and they are so easy!
