Description

It is time to start grilling, and this is a side dish that goes great with everything from hamburgers and hot dogs to steaks. You can make it ahead of time and the recipe can be cut in half.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Ground Beef
  • ½ cups Chopped Green Pepper
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • 2 cans 28 Oz Baked Beans
  • 1 Tablespoon Mustard
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • ⅓ cups Bar B Q Sauce

Preparation

Cook your ground beef until halfway done. Add green pepper and onion. You want your green pepper and onion to be done but not mushy. (I make double the amount and freeze half to use at a later date.)

Drain most of the liquid off of your baked beans and pour in a
9 x13 baking dish. Add mustard, brown sugar and Bar B Q sauce; mix into the hamburger mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.

What kind of BBQ sauce did you use in your recipe?

I just wanted to say thank you so much for posting this recipe! I love that it has simple ingredients and doesn’t take hours to cook. This is perfect for the last minute BBQ I accidently planned for tonight!

I omitted the beef since I served with hamburgers. I had a ton left over, so I froze them and we ate them a couple weeks later with sliders. Great recipe to take to barbeque party.
