Description

These delicious morsels were born of a fortunate mistake. I’d forgotten the flour in my oatmeal chocolate chips cookies. I was able to add it a minute after putting it in the oven, but the chocolate chips already melted. I added a little peanut butter and Whoopsy cookies came out of it. Best mistake you’ll ever make!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Beat the butter and peanut butter together on medium speed until combined.

2. Add granulated and brown sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Beat until combined.

3. Melt the chocolate chips. Stir frequently, you want them just melted, not too hot! Add the melted chocolate and beat again until combined, scraping down the sides as needed.

4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined.

5. Beat in the flour. Stir in the rolled oats, or use the “stir” setting on your mixer.

6. Use a cookie scoope or drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
