These are made with natural peanut butter and whole wheat flour. I like to think they are just a wee bit healthier this way.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Cream the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg, milk and vanilla, beating well after adding.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in additional sugar.
Place on a cookie sheet and flatten slightly with a fork in a criss-cross pattern. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for a minute before moving to a cooling rack.
