Description

A very moist and delicious coffee cake, I wish I could take credit for it!!! Thank you Lavenia for such a fabulous recipe! Each time I make this, people freak out.

Ingredients

  • 1 box 18.25oz Box, Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 package 3.4oz Box, Instant Vanilla Pudding
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • ¾ cups Water
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Walnuts, Finely Chopped
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk, Add More If Needed

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9×13 pan.

Place cake mix, pudding, eggs, water, sour cream and oil in a large mixing bowl. Mix until thoroughly blended. Set aside.

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts in a separate bowl.

Pour half of the cake batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the sugar nut mixture over batter. Spread remaining batter carefully over nut mixture, being careful not to disturb it. Sprinkle remaining nut mixture over top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. More if necessary, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Stir until smooth and well blended. Drizzle over top of warm cake. Cut into squares and serve from pan.

Again, all the credit for this one goes to my friend Lavenia. And I am forever grateful to her for this fabulous recipe!!!
