Leftover white rice? It will beg to be used in this spicy dessert, to be served with a warm caramel sauce or just bits of your favourite chocolate bar.
Bring all ingredients to boil, and shift to low simmer as soon as bubbles are forming at the surface.
Cover for 40 minutes – until the rice has absorbed all liquid (be sure to check nothing is sticking to the pan).
When done, take out the pods and peel and cool for a few minutes.
Serve hot or cold, sprinkled with some vanilla sugar. I recommend it with a mug of caramel tea.

A” must try” …But I think I might have to start from scratch with the rice…never any left over
