  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder

  • 1 cup Butter Or Butter Flavored Crisco
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Milk

Combine flour, soda, powder and salt in a bowl. Cut through the dry ingredients with the butter.

In a separate bowl combine eggs (beaten), sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix together then add to the above flour mixture.

Chill dough in the fridge for several minutes. Then, roll dough out on a well floured surface and cut out into desired shapes.

i loved these! they came out soft and tasty and were easy to ice. word of advice though: don’t make your cutouts too thick. it makes them rise more in the middle than at the sides, so they’re round and thus harder to ice, if you’re planning on doing the whole royal icing thing.

other than that, awesome recipe, very tasty.
