Easy, yummy, and buttery! This simple cookie is baked in a 9-inch round cake pan.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together flour, confectioner’s sugar, salt, and baking powder.
3. Cut butter into cubes. Add butter and vanilla to the flour mixture. Mix until a stiff dough forms.
4. Press dough into a 9-inch round cake pan. Prick all over with a fork. Sprinkle granulated sugar over the dough.
5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden. Cut into wedges while still warm. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Separate wedges and serve.
Note: Dip wedges into some melted chocolate to dress up this simple shortbread.
