Description

These little chocolate drops are super easy and always get rave reviews. In fact, they always get way more effusive feedback than more complicated chocolate cookies I’ve slaved over!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Butter (1/2 Stick)
  • 12 ounces, weight Semisweet Or Bittersweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk (not Fat Free)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut butter into several small pieces & put in microwave-safe bowl with chocolate chips and condensed milk. Heat in microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, then heat again for 30-60 seconds, and stir again.

Stir in vanilla, then add flour and salt. Stir until combined.

Grease 2 cookie sheets with cooking spray (gently wipe with paper towel afterward) or use parchment. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonful onto sheets (a small cookie scoop is very helpful for this – spray the scoop along with the cookie sheets and it will keep the dough from sticking to the scoop).

If the dough becomes stiff or loses its sheen before you’re finished scooping, just reheat in microwave for 2o or 30 seconds, then proceed.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, rotating sheets half-way through. Cookies will be set but still soft. Let sit on sheets for a few minutes before removing with a thin spatula/turner to rack to cool completely.

Makes about 50 cookies.
