Description

A perfect “Monday cookie!” This cookie has a deep dark chocolate flavor, and a kick of sea salt.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 2  Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ cups Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cups Quick Oats
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Coarse Sea Salt (approximately)

Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Add soda, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder and mix well. Add oats and flour, and mix just until combined.

Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet, leaving room for spreading. Bake at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes.

Immediately sprinkle each cookie with coarse sea salt, then remove to a cooling rack.
