Description

Salty, sweet, and crunchy. It’s all you’ll need in your life!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Ritz Crackers (2 Sleeves From A 16 Ounce Box)
  • 1 package Almond Bark (20 Ounce Package)
  • 1 jar Creamy Peanut Butter (16 Ounce Jar)

Preparation

** Two sleeves of Ritz uses one full package of almond bark. If you want to make an entire box of Ritz, you will need to double the almond bark.

1. Open 2 sleeves Ritz and the peanut butter.

2. Spread peanut butter on one side of one cracker. Place another cracker on top. Do not squeeze too hard or the PB will ooze out. (It is up to you how much PB you want to use. I use enough to where the crackers are not touching each other).

3. Wipe around the edge, again careful not to squeeze, to get off the excess PB. Place the sandwich on a plate.

4. Make as many of the sandwiches as you can out of two sleeves. Sadly yes, some crackers may be broken so I cannot give a full amount of how many you can make…

5. Break the almond bark into chunks and place in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir. Repeat in 30-second intervals until it’s completely melted.

6. Lay a sheet of foil on a flat surface.

7. Drop 1-3 sandwiches (depending on your bowl size) into the bowl of melted almond bark. Cover sandwiches completely then tap off excess bark (I use tongs to make them easier to grasp). Try to keep the sandwiches flat or PB can come out and make for a not so pleasant looking almond bark. Once the excess bark is off, place the sandwich on a sheet of foil.

Optional: You can also put sprinkles on top of each sandwich cookie before the bark dries to give some color.

Wait for everything to dry before removing from foil to store. If you don’t, the almond bark will melt together making the sandwich cookies stick together.

This is a regular in our Christmas cookie trays and they are great in the summer when it is too hot to turn on the oven. YUM! This may be the first time I’ve ever seen this recipe ‘in print’!
