Description

A deliciously decadent chocolate cake that will leave you craving a second piece.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CAKE:
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 package (4 Oz. Package) Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • ¼ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • _____
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 bar Heath Candy, Large (the Double Bar Package)
  • 1 cup Pretzels, Ground

Preparation

To prepare the cake, start out by creaming together your sugar and butter. Add in the eggs, vanilla and milk. Mix it together well. Add in the pudding mix and the cocoa. Finally you’ll add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix together.

Grease and add parchment paper to two 9″ cake pans. Pour your batter in and bake them at 350F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool your cakes completely.

While your cakes are cooling, go ahead and grab your frosting ingredients. To whip up a batch of chocolate frosting, add in the powdered sugar and butter and cream them together. Add in the vanilla, cocoa, and milk. Mix it up well.

Take your first cake and spread a generous amount of frosting over the top. Mix your toffee and pretzel pieces together and sprinkle half the mixture generously over the top.

Repeat with the second layer.
