Description

Chocolate fudge pie made with a sweet, buttery, pretzel crust. Topped with whipped cream, crumbled pretzels, and drizzled with caramel. A delicious dessert you’ll be proud to serve and happy to eat!

Ingredients

  • 3-½ cups Small Pretzel Twists
  • ¼ cups Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • ¾ cups Butter Or Margarine, Cut Into Pieces
  • ¾ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • ¾ cups Packed Dark Brown Sugar
  • ⅔ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 3 Tablespoons Whipping Cream
  • 4-½ teaspoons All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-½ cup Frozen (thawed) Whipped Topping
  • ½ cups Caramel Topping

Preparation

Heat oven to 350°F. In food processor, place 3 cups of the pretzels and the first amount of brown sugar. Cover and process until finely chopped. Stir in melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of an un-greased 9-inch glass pie plate. Set aside.

In medium microwavable bowl, microwave butter pieces and the chocolate chips on High setting for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring once, until melted and smooth. Stir in the second amount of brown sugar and the granulated sugar. Stir in eggs. Stir in whipping cream, flour and vanilla. Pour into the crust-lined plate.

Put the pan into the heated oven. Bake for 50 minutes or until center is set. Remove pan from oven. Cool completely, about 3 hours.

Coarsely crush the remaining 1/2 cup pretzels. Top each slice of pie with a dollop of whipped topping. Drizzle with caramel topping and sprinkle evenly with crushed pretzels.
