Description
If you like gingerbread, you will love this rich and very YUMMY cake!
Ingredients
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2-¼ cups Flour
- ¾ cups Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoons Ground Cloves
- ¾ cups Light Molasses
- ¾ cups Vegetable Oil
- ¾ cups Water
- 2 whole Eggs
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Butter
- ⅓ cups Water
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour bundt pan.
Combine all cake ingredients; blend at low speed until moistened. Beat for three minutes at medium speed. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Remove cake from oven. Prick every inch deeply with a fork. In a small saucepan, heat topping ingredients until butter is melted. Spoon hot topping over hot cake. Cool upright in pan for 30 minutes; turn onto serving plate.
This cake is addictive—very rich and yummy!
