A crunchy and delicious twist on a tried and true classic.
1. Beat together the butter, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla.
2. Slowly add in the flour and salt.
3. Roll dough into small balls, then roll into chopped nuts, pressing nuts into dough.
4. Form a depression in each cookie using your thumb, and spoon in your preserves.
5. Bake at 350 F for about 12 minutes.

I liked this cookie, not too sweet. I used orange marmalie and it was real good with it.
