Great tasting cookies, my husband loved them:)
I did reduce the sugars 2/3c. & used dark chocolate chips.
These cookies were discovered by my daughter some 9 years or so ago, right after she married. This is one of her favorites to make with my grandkids.
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter on medium speed for 30 seconds.
2. Add sugars, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Beat until blended.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2″ apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are browned.
5. Store by placing waxed paper between layers. (Stores 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.)
YIELD: 5 dozen

These are great. My mom made them for me when she came to see me when her granddaughter was to be born. I think I gained 5 lbs from them the week they were here.
