Traditional Finnish treat! So easy and fun for the kids to make! Check out the “Related Blog Post” for more pictures.
Roll out a sheet of puff pastry thin enough to cut 16 squares about 3″ x 3″. It makes them cute if you use craft scissors or a wavy pastry cutter.
Cut each corner towards the middle of the square, leaving enough room for a little dab of jam. Fold alternating corners into the middle, making a cute little pinwheel.
Seal the corners pretty good, a tiny drop of water helps so they don’t pop open when you cook them. Bake on parchment paper at 350 degrees until golden, about 10 minutes.
When they come out, dust them with powdered sugar.
How easy is that?
They are a great treat! You gotta love those Finns!
