Because of their unique texture, these chocolate chip cookies hold up better than normal chocolate chip cookies. Great right out of the oven or the next day (if they last that long!)
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until creamy.
Stir in combined dry ingredients. Add nuts and chocolate chips.
Using an small ice cream scoop, drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, or edges are lightly browned.

Made these this weekend and loved them! I like that they are not your typical chocolate chip cookie. The dough itself is not overly sweet, so the chocolate stands out. I omitted the pecans but I’m sure they are a great addition. I made the cookies “normal” size (the recipe says it makes 10 – that would make some BIG cookies). I’m definitely keeping this recipe!
