Description

Simple cookies dusted in cinnamon and sugar. Yum! Great to make with kids!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cups Margarine
  • ½ cups Shortening
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2-¾ cups Flour
  • 2-¾ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Cinnamon

Preparation

Combine sugar, margarine and shortening.

Mix in eggs, one at a time.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to blended shortening/margarine mixture. Blend well.

Using a spoon or ice cream scoop (I like this one best) shape mixture into balls and then roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Wow, these snickerdoodles are tasty! I came home from work today and my 11 yr. old son was taking his 7th dozen out of the oven (he thought the serving size was 20, as in 20 cookies, so he doubled the recipe!) They’re soft and have a really great flavor. Best of all, they’re easy enough for my 11 yr. old son to make, unattended!
