Description

Crispy, chewy, sweet, salty, amazing chocolate chip cookies!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vegetable Shortening
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 whole Large Eggs, Well Beaten
  • 2-¼ cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Size) Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Nuts (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Cream together vegetable shortening and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Add vanilla and eggs, beat until well mixed.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to the batter, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop in 2-tablespoon-sized balls onto a cookie sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes.

Cool on the baking sheet a few minutes and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Serve and enjoy!
